Well, this week’s topic is really interesting and thus, it leads to another problem that I don’t know what to write in my blog post for this week. And I’ve just read an interesting post about hashtag and I realize that… hashtag also annoys me, that’s why this post will be about #hashtag.

Hashtag is defined as “a system that would allow Twitter users to tag topics and easily search for and engage in conversations of interest”

In the last few years, this hash sign has become a phenomenon. But why it is so popular? Perhaps it’s celebrities’ effect, who use and spread the use of hashtag, or it could be because of crowd psychology. We all know how powerful crowd psychology is. When we see people using something interesting, we may want to do the same. Since hashtag first introduced on Facebook, the use of it is even wider. Lots of my friends is using #hashtag crazily and indiscriminately and lots of people find it annoying.

So if you don’t want to be a trouble maker, #don’t #hashtag #everything #like #this

  1. Interesting post!Loved how you integrated parts of the lecture within your post and also explained your views on the “hashtag”. #ifeelya. A few more examples or maybe celebrities who over use the hashtag may have been interesting? I found a humorous article on the most obnoxious hashtags which is extremely relevant to this post!http://www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/advice/a4942/annoying-hashtags/
